In fact the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, one of the Navy's premiere shipbuilding facilities, is actually located in Portsmouth.

Application Special Instructions

Must be able to obtain a certificate from the Department of Environmental Quality as an Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector, and Stormwater Management Inspector within one (1) year of employment, and obtain certification as an Erosion & Sediment Control Plan Reviewer and Stormwater Management Plan Reviewer within two (2) years of employment.
